Mikayla won the ESA Outstanding Youth Award. You have to be nominated by your teachers. Only seven in the Jr. High were nominated. Then you have to write an essay, get a letter of recommendation, list your activities and accomplishments and submit to an interview. The topic for the essay was "Friendship, Laughter and Love in my Life" If you would like to see the essay, I can email it too you. It was pretty cute. They read it out loud and she had a part in there about her laugh being like Grandma Hunt's and how she laughs with her whole body---well she was on stage laughing---with her whole body!Tuesday, May 26, 2009
